Summary of Functions:
Due to continued growth, we are seeking a Sr. Supply Chain Analyst Manager for our facility in the Memphis, TN area.


Summary of Functions:

Responsible for the strategic management of SKUs in the supply chain system, as well as the facility, recommending the phase out of appropriate SKUs, and development and monitoring of slotting strategy and appropriate SKU maintenance to insure customer satisfaction and optimum product availability for order fulfillment.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Understand and monitor the accuracy and size of the New Breed item master document for this account
  • Develop the optimum slotting strategy for placement of SKUs in the pick faces and the optimum storage strategy to achieve maximum utilization of available cube
  • Identifying SKUs that require special shipping processes, slotting strategies and inventory management
  • Monitor the accuracy of SKU item dimensions and understand how this affects the storage and handling processes
  • Monitor the effect of cubic dimension changes of the SKUs and advise of any significant changes and /or trends
  • Identify and communicate potential SKU problem areas or trends to facility and corporate leadership
  • Recommend solutions and improvements of SKU maintenance and control
  • Proactively seek ways to imbed quality and efficiency into slotting and picking activities based on facility space, pick faces, SKU count and variability of inventory and seasonal demands at peak
  • Ability to communicate effectively with the customer and corporate management
  • Follow company policies, procedures and safety regulations

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to operate safely in an office environment as well as a warehouse facility
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. on an infrequent basis
  • Travel as required
  • Manual dexterity to operate equipment and perform keyboarding functions

 

Education and/or Experience Requirements:

  • BS/BA degree required
  • Ability to define, interpret and apply metric data to improve processes
  • Ability to create queries to capture data tables (SQL)
  • Strong Excel skills and familiarity with Access
  • Supervisory experience in a high volume distribution center or manufacturing environment
  • Ability to interact positively with personnel at all levels, (warehouse associates, corporate executives, and our customer)
  • Operational experience with Direct to Consumer picking and shipping strategies
  • Familiarity with LEAN principles and/or Six Sigma
  • Demonstrated success in process improvement and history of team leadership
