Job Description

Summary of Functions:
We are seeking a Quality Control and Reports Manager  in Albany, GA to support the USMC Consolidated Storage Program (CSP).

 

 

Oversees Quality projects.  Monitors processes through analysis, interpretation of metrics, response to identified deficiencies and the use of continuous process improvement tools.  Responsible for receiving data and developing required recurring and ad hoc reports required by the customer.  Manages the Key Performance Indicator “dashboard" to be displayed in the Albany Operations Center.  Serves as a resource to respond to customer inquiries concerning reports.



Essential Functions:

  • Indirectly Supervise Quality Issues and ensure the quality requirements are met across a network of warehouses and a centralized management group

  • Provide assistance in the administration/coordination of all Quality resources

  • Train quality auditors and inspectors

  • Coordinate special initiatives and corrective actions across all shifts

  • Participate in quality improvements and failure reduction

  • Analyze/develop/edit/ ISO procedures working toward process improvement

  • Coordinate Quality Assurance activities that prevent or eliminate defects with emphasis in process control

  • Actively address Quality issues as they arise. Work closely with all areas affected in operations to assure that the Quality Management System is followed

  • Compile/Interpret data and develop reports, graphs, charts and trends on a regular basis 

  • Serves as a resource to respond to customer inquiries regarding recurring and ad hoc reports

  • Maintains the Key Performance Indicator “dashboard" in the Albany Operations Center

  • Interact daily with functional peer groups involving the exchange of priorities, schedules, and other factual information

  • Perform audits to Newbreeds procedures, ISO implementation and compliance

  • Be involved to investigate and define the needs for corrective and preventative actions

  • Utilize skills to support and build cross-functional teams within the Quality group

  • Assist, train and ensure the accuracy of data with QA staff

  • Coordinate Quality processes

  • Proactive to ensure the relationship with the customer remains sound

  • Conducts root cause analysis both systemically and with site visits to determine reasons when metrics are not met using PBL techniques,  develop and recommend changes    

  • Researches and provides information for information requests with emphasis on information management using a database 

  • Have worked in a Performance Based Logistics environment 

  • Prepare and analyze reports, mines data to be used by management groups from New Breed and the customer

  • Prepare and provide oral presentations to the Program Office, senior military leadership and others  

  • Complete other tasks as assigned

Education and/or Experience Requirements:

  • AA Degree or an equivalent 3 years Quality work related experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment

  • ASQ membership and/or certified QE preferred

  • Excellent computer skills / Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook/email, data base

  • Good leadership and communications skills are essential

  • Skilled with Corrective/Preventative Action, Problem Solving

  • Knowledge of ISO-9000:2000, 14001, ANSI Z1.4/Mil-Std-1235c/Mil-Std-105e

  • Must be proficient in creating reports charts/graphs/paretos/histograms/etc
