HIGH POINT, NC - November 15, 2005
New Breed, a distribution services and supply chain management company, announced today that it has acquired the building and property located at 4043 Piedmont Parkway, High Point, NC for its new national headquarters.
The move to the new facility is planned for January 2006. The two-story 52,000 square foot office building, situated on 8 acres, was initially developed by Weaver Investments for Prudential Insurance. The acquisition of this property brings New Breed's owned and leased Triad presence to approximately 300,000 square feet. Globally, New Breed occupies more than 40 facilities totaling 5 million square feet.
According to Joe Hauck, New Breed's Director of Business Development, the Company will be performing extensive upgrades to the building and substantially increasing its investment in its data center, also located on Piedmont Parkway, for a total investment of more than $8 million.
No financial incentives from state or local government entities were involved in New Breed's acquisition of the facility. Hauck stated, "It has not been New Breed's policy to seek nor accept incentives. We believe it is our corporate responsibility to invest in our infrastructure, not the responsibility of tax-payers."
New Breed's growth in the Triad is a direct result of exponential growth in markets across the U.S. Over the past two years, the Company has added new clients such as The Boeing Company and significantly expanded its relationships with Siemens business units and Verizon Wireless. "The Triad is the nerve center of our operations management and logistics technology infrastructure, and the home of our executive and administrative resources" said Hauck. "We are committed to continue our investment in this region as we focus on our strategic vision for growth and industry leadership."
