HIGH POINT, NC - April 19, 2005
New Breed, a national distribution center operations and supply chain consulting company has signed a full production license agreement to implement the KonaWare Mobility Platform(TM)(KMP).
"Our research led us to KonaWare's reliable, robust architecture. It will extend the visibility of our logistics operations to the edges of the supply chain," said Ashfaque Chowdhury, Ph.D., New Breed's CIO. "KonaWare's solution provides wide device support - working across standard hardware and software applications available in the marketplace today."
KonaWare, a provider of logistics and motor freight applications, is working with New Breed to enhance its communications technology within its multi-service logistics operations. KMP will integrate to New Breed's industry-leading visibility and order management application, provide one mobile platform throughout its supply chain operations, operating over a range of current and future RF and other wireless devices, extending its reach to mobile operations.
New Breed plans to integrate KMP into its logistics applications and plans to have the technology available for its clients in 2005. This technology will streamline New Breed's delivery and pickup processes, data communications, and dispatch operations. KMP will further enhance service level monitoring and enable real-time shipment visibility and point-of-delivery verification with substantial wireless cost savings.
"KonaWare is pleased to be selected by one of the fastest growing 3PLs in North America," states Mark Dahm, KonaWare's Vice President of Business Development. "We look forward to providing the software technology that helps keep businesses growing and meeting the demands of their customers."
KMP integrates and transacts data between enterprise systems and mobile workers securely and reliably over any wireless local area network or wide area network even as mobile workers move in and out of wireless coverage.
